Notice is hereby given to all concerned that Maruti Suzuki Ignis Manual Transmission cars sold during the period 24 Feb 2023 to 30 Apr 2023 (‘Vehicles’), does not have “Hill Hold Assist” feature. Recently, it has come to our notice that due to an oversight, in some of the brochures for such Vehicles, tick mark (✓) was inadvertently printed against “Hill-Hold Assist” feature indicating availability of the said feature in the Vehicles. The inadvertent error has been rectified and updated brochures are available on official website.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (“Maruti Suzuki”) will be undertaking a service campaign for 676 vehicles (Ertiga and XL6), manufactured between 24^th Jun 2022 and 7^th Jul 2022.

It is suspected that there may be a possible issue in the ‘front Driveshaft’ of these affected vehicles, which in a rare case may generate a peculiar noise while turning the vehicle but does not impact the functioning.

Considering customer comfort and convenience, Maruti Suzuki has decided to inspect and replace the front Driveshaft, if required, free of cost.

Affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from Maruti Suzuki authorized dealer service workshops for necessary action.

It is suspected that there is a possible defect in Rear Seat Belt mounting brackets (“Parts”), which in a rare case, may loosen in the long run and impact its functionality.

Vehicle owners will be receiving communication from Maruti Suzuki authorized dealer workshops for inspection and replacement of the affected parts, free of cost.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced to recall a total of 17,362 vehicles manufactured between December 8^th 2022 and January 12^th 2023. The affected models are Alto K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Brezza, Baleno and Grand Vitara.

The recall is being undertaken to inspect and replace Airbag Controller (“affected part”), free of cost, if required in these vehicles. It is suspected that there is a possible defect in affected part, which in rare case might result in non-deployment of the airbags and seat belt pretensioners, in the event of a vehicle crash.

It is suspected that there is a possible defect in rear brake assembly pin (‘Part’), which in a certain case, may break and cause a peculiar noise. There may be a possibility of impact on brake performance in the long run.

The replacement of the affected part shall start from the first week of November 2021. Till then, customers are requested to avoid driving in water logged areas and direct water spray on electrical/electronic parts in vehicle.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has proactively announced to voluntarily undertake a recall for WagonR (1 Litre) manufactured between November 15th 2018 and October 15th 2019 and Baleno (Petrol) manufactured between January 8th 2019 and November 4th 2019. The recall will cover 134,885 vehicles of both these models.

The Company will inspect 56,663 units of WagonR and 78,222 units of Baleno for a possible issue with the Fuel Pump. Faulty part will be replaced, free of cost.

Keeping in mind customer safety and as a responsible corporate, Maruti Suzuki India Limited today announced to proactively and voluntarily undertake a recall for certain petrol Smart Hybrid (SHVS) variants of Ciaz, Ertiga and XL6 vehicles manufactured between 1st January 2019 to 21st November 2019.

Recall campaigns are undertaken globally to rectify faults that may be potential safety defects.

The Company will inspect 63,493 vehicles of petrol SHVS of Ciaz, Ertiga and XL6 for a possible issue with the Motor Generator Unit (MGU). A possible defect may have occurred in the MGU during manufacturing by an overseas global part supplier.

In the interest of its customers, Maruti Suzuki has decided to proactively recall the vehicles for inspection and those found OK will be released immediately. Vehicles requiring replacement of faulty part will be retained for part replacement free of cost. Keeping in view customer convenience, Maruti Suzuki dealers may make alternate mobility arrangements in such cases, if required.

Starting 6th December 2019 owners of the suspected vehicles under this recall campaign will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki dealers for inspection and replacement of the faulty part.

New Delhi, February 21, 2019: Maruti Suzuki India Limited will proactively undertake a “Service Campaign” for 3757 units of Baleno manufactured between 6th December 2018 and 4th February 2019.

Starting 21st February 2019 owners of the affected vehicles included in this “Service Campaign” will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki dealers for inspection and updating the modified software in Actuator Assembly ABS, free of cost.

Customers of Baleno vehicles are requested to fill in the chassis number starting with MA3 or MBH followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number on the computer screen. The chassis number is embossed on the vehicle ID plate and is also in the vehicle invoice / registration documents.

880 vehicles of the Ciaz Diesel (Only Zeta and Alpha variants) manufactured between 1st August 2018 and 21st September 2018 will be covered in this “Service Campaign”.

Starting 29th October 2018 owners of the vehicles included in this “Service Campaign” will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki dealers for inspection and replacement of the part free of cost.

Customers of Ciaz Diesel (Only Zeta and Alpha variants) are requested to fill in the chassis number MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number on the computer screen. The chassis number is embossed on the vehicle ID plate and is also in the vehicle invoice/registration documents.

As per the Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989, Automotive Industry Standard-137 Part-3rd of standard (“Regulation”) which came into effect for all the BS6 vehicles sold after 1st of April 2020, it has been made mandatory for all Car manufacturers in India to check emission parameters of few customer owned BS VI vehicles.

It’s a Government of India (“GOI”) initiative for green environment wherein all vehicle manufacturers are required to pick few customer’s running vehicles for verification of pollutant levels of exhaust gas.

To fulfill this requirement, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has started calling customers for providing their vehicle for emission testing.
